Flora69.com Send Flowers …… Anywhere Anytime
Mood:  celebratory

“I don’t sell flowers. I sell the value they hold, the feelings and emotions they represent; the smiles they bring.” Flowers influence the emotions. Flowers can speak volumes. That is why we purchase cut flowers – for the moment; to get or give that unique feeling that buzzes up inside your soul; this feeling that I can’t really describe.

Our business — and We are loving it! Helping my customers express their sentiments through flowers gives me a great big dose of the “warm fuzzies.”  wherein we believe Send Flowers and Share Emotions.

We will be able to help you for any event — weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, funerals.

But where we really excel is in last-minute work. If you need something now — or forgot an anniversary! — you can call us. We’ll make it look like you’ve been planning these flowers for weeks.

We are proud to say that I get most of our business through word of mouth. We know that you’ll share emotions and your care by sending flowers and gifts on different occasions . We have experienced the same by the words of our clients.

The feeling is indescribable. This feeling is something you get when you give flowers and also the same feeling you get when you receive flowers. If you have never experienced this, try delivering a bundle of flowers to someone unsuspecting. The recipient is so excited. Their emotions are unrehearsed and real, and the feeling actually transcends onto you.

Send flowers anywhere anytime.

RAMZAN ID

Muslims all over the world celebrate Ramzan Id also called Id-Ul-Fitr with great jubilation on the first day of the Islamic month Shawwal. This day marks the end of Ramadan, the 9th month of the Islamic calendar, in which the Holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed. Since the Islamic calendar is based on the moon, the month of Ramadan falls at different times each year. Muslims spend the whole month of Ramadan in fasting and penance. No food or drink is taken from sunrise to sunset on each day of the month. The completion of the month-long fast is determined by the appearance of the new moon, and is celebrated with enthusiasm as Id-Ul-Fitr, which means ‘the fast is over’. In India, this Id is also called Mithi Id. The month-long fast culminating in this Id spreads a feeling of brotherhood. Muslims wear new clothes on this day, exchange gifts, participate in great fairs and watch stunning fireworks displays.

CELEBRATE LOVE
Mood:  celebratory

WHAT IS LOVE ?

One must understand whether “what is love” can be a question which can be answered? Love cannot be a question. For, if it is a question then an answer should be there. If the answer is there, where is it? This question is ancient and an answer should have been found by now! If the answer has been found, the question would have disappeared.

But the question still remains, meaning the answer has not been found. If it has not been found as yet, then what is the certainty that it will be found? Maybe the mind can never find the answer! A single answer, which will please all minds, is not possible for each mind has its own ideas of love. Hence a universal answer is an illusion.

Individual answers are there for love and for this very reason there are arguments about love for each mind will contradict the answer of another mind. This contradiction is normal for each mind lives in a different point in time. Hence “what is love” is an illusionary question, which has no answer! –

                                                                                                                                                                                            Dr. Vijai S. Shankar

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Some say it’s mysterious, magical, complex, difficult, imaginary, thought-provoking, inspirational, intuitional, joyous, immeasurable, ecstasy, and undefinable. Perhaps,  Love itself is a universal experience. Yet, every individual occurrence – while perhaps bound by a common thread – seems absolutely unique. Love is what love is! To everyone it expresses itself differently.

LOVE  is not about expressing with heavy words, its about mutual understanding Gentle touch, Pure Heart and Flowers

Dussera —- Festival of Joy
Mood:  happy

Dussera literally means the tenth day. It marks the end of the nine days of Navratri. Dussera means different things to different people. Vijayadashami as Dussera is also known, celebrates the homecoming of Lord Rama the hero of the epic Ramayana, after he rescued his wife Sita from Ravana, the king of Lanka.

Dussera can also be interpreted as “Dasa-Hara”, which means the cutting of the ten heads of Ravana. The ‘Ramleela’, a folk play, retelling the story of the life of Rama, is enacted for the nine days of Navratri ending on Dussera, the day Rama slays Ravana. Songs are sung in praise of Rama and people in thousands witness this traditional theatre with its exaggerated costumes, jewelry, makeup and drama. Effigies of Ravana are set ablaze, signifying the victory of good over evil. In modern times it calls for efforts to destroy the demon of our ego, and radiate peace and love wherever we go.

Dussera is also reminiscent of the end of the exile and banishment of the Pandava princes in the epicMahabharata and their return with their weapons to reclaim their kingdom. In memory of this epic story, people in the state of Maharashtra worship the implements/tools of their professions and distribute the leaves of the Shami tree, which is considered as valuable as gold, but only for a day to express their goodwill.

Vijayadashami is also celebrated as the day of victory to rejoice about Durga’s triumph over the demons led byMahishasura. It is essentially a festival in honor of Durga, another name for Parvathi, Lord Shiva’s wife. Therefore the famous ‘Durga Puja’ is carried out on this day. The story behind it is that one-day Parvathi’s son Sri Ganesha playfully moulded a figure out of the ashes, and breathed life into it! This was the terrible demon Bhandasura. He engaged himself in great penance and on account of it obtained a boon from Lord Shiva. With the help of that boon, he began harassing the worlds. The Divine Mother fought with him for nine nights (the demons have extraordinary strength during the night), and killed him on the evening of the tenth day, known as the Vijaya Dasami. Once again signifying the victory of good over evil.

Therefore on this day you pray to Mother Durga to destroy all your impurities, your vices, your defects. She is to fight with and annihilate the baser animal qualities in the spiritual aspirant, the lower, diabolical nature in you. Once you have accomplished your task on the negative side, that of breaking down the impure propensities and old vicious habits, the next step is to build up a sublime spiritual personality, to acquire positive qualities in place of the eliminated demoniacal qualities.

Vijayadashami is also the day of the Saraswati or the deity of knowledge and learning. People celebrate Dussera as an auspicious day for new beginnings. Many children begin their education, their dance or music, art or sport lessons on this daydults also begin new ventures, projects and journeys on this day. The whole period from Navratrito Diwali is considered festive season and people visit their family and friends to share and exchange festive food, sweets, and gifts and enjoy a joyful family ambience of celebrations

Celebrate the festive occasion by sending flowers and gifts to your dear ones.

Navratri .. The festive occasion welcoming Maa Durga
Mood:  happy

Navratri, the festival of nights, lasts for 9 days with three days each devoted to worship of Ma Durga, the Goddess of Valor, Ma Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth and Ma Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge. During the nine days of Navratari, feasting and fasting take precedence over all normal daily activities amongst the Hindus. Evenings give rise to the religious dances in order to worhip Goddess Durga Maa.

1st – 3rd day of Navratri
On the first day of the Navaratras, a small bed of mud is prepared in the puja room of the house and barley seeds are sown on it. On the tenth day, the shoots are about 3 – 5 inches in length. After the puja, these seedlings are pulled out and given to devotees as a blessing from god. These initial days are dedicated to Durga Maa, the Goddess of power and energy. Her various manifestations, Kumari, Parvati and Kali are all worshipped during these days. They represent the three different classes of womanhood that include the child, the young girl and the mature woman.

4th – 6th day of Navratri
During these days, Lakshmi Maa, the Goddess of peace and prosperity is worshipped. On the fifth day which is known as Lalita Panchami, it is traditional, to gather and display all literature available in the house, light a lamp or ‘diya’ to invoke Saraswati Maa, the Goddess of knowledge and art.

7th – 8th day of Navratri
These final days belong to Saraswati Maa who is worshipped to acquire the spiritual knowledge. This in turn will free us from all earthly bondage. But on the 8th day of this colourful festival, yagna (holy fire) is performed. Ghee (clarified butter), kheer (rice pudding) and sesame seeds form the holy offering to Goddess Durga Maa.

Mahanavami
The festival of Navratri culminates in Mahanavami. On this day Kanya Puja is performed. Nine young girls representing the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped. Their feet are washed as a mark of respect for the Goddess and then they are offered new clothes as gifts by the worshiper. This ritual is performed in most parts of the country.

Celebrate the festive occasion by welcoming Maa with the devotional flowers and sending flowers to your dear ones ….

Celebrate the bond of love on the festive occasion of Rakhi
Mood:  bright
Resham ki dori se sansaar baandhaa hai!
“The sun radiates its sunlight, the radish spreads its seeds,
I tie the rakhi on you, my brother, and wish that may you live long.”
The Raksha Bandhan festival is celebrated to commemorate the everlasting bond between brothers and sisters. Though it is marked by a simple ceremony, in which a woman ties a Rakhi on her brother’s wrist, but it has got a great significance. The word Raksha signifies protection where as Bandhan means an enduring bond of love. The brother, on his part, recognizes this special bond and by extending his wrist forward, he in fact extends the hand of protection over his sister.
As the name ‘Raksha Bandhan’ suggests, ‘a bond of protection’, Raksha Bandhan is a pledge from brothers to protect the sister from all harms and troubles and a prayer from the sister to protect the brother from all evil.
The festival falls on the Shravan Purnima (full moon day of shravan month) which comes generally in the month of August. The sisters tie the silk thread called rakhi on their brother’s wrist and pray for their well being and brothers promise to take care of their sisters. The festival is unique to India creates a feeling of belongingness and oneness amongst the family.
Share your Care and Emotions by sending flowers and Rakhi to your Loved ones.
